I'm Grateful For...

Each week the lovely Bronwyn, from Maxabella Loves, lists all the things she is grateful for.  She encourages other bloggers to do the same in order to share the positivity across the blogosphere.  What a wonderful idea!  I enjoy reading other people's lists, which always prompt me to count all my blessings in my mind too.  But I've never taken the time to actually write down a grateful list myself, until now.

There are so many things I'm grateful for, but here's my attempt at a summary.  I'm grateful for:
  • The love of my life and the plans and dreams we continue to share...

  • Life itself - I'm so grateful to be alive and breathing...

  • Love - I have so many people I love and who love me back...

  • A precious family to cherish...

  • A safe and peaceful haven to call home...

  • My faith which I can rely on for everything, including my dreams...

  •  An appreciation for the simple things in life...
...like a hot cup of tea in my favourite mug :)
I could keep going with my list, but I'd be here forever.  So just before I sign off, I'll share a little story about my first "grateful" photo in this post.  Obviously, it's me with the love of my life, my husband John.  You may have noticed the miniature Statue of Liberty to the left and a San Francisco cable car to the right.

When I was having chemotherapy for breast cancer, there was a particular lounge I would lay on for most of the day while I was sick.  One day, John came home from work holding the Statue of Liberty...he placed on the cabinet in front of me and said, "This is where we're going to go when you get better!"  I have held on to these words for a long time and in just a few short weeks, we will actually be boarding an airplane to fly to the other side of this big old planet!

We're off on a dream family holiday to New York, LA (Disneyland!), San Francisco, Washington DC and a Mexican Riviera Cruise!  I know.... how blessed are we?!  It all seems a bit surreal still, but it's really happening!

I'm so grateful!

Yeah! Yey! Yippee!

I love all that's shared in this post Jennifer.

The wonderful images, the fact that I now know how you take your tea [if ever I'm lucky enough to be able to make you one], the terrific anecdote about John and the inception of your upcoming trip and....that you are here to share all of this with us.

Yeah! Yey! Yippee!

xx Felicity
